What it means: The engine shuts off if the engine oil level is too low. The engine will not start with low or no engine oil.
What to do
Stop the engine and make sure the generator is level. Check the dipstick oil level and add the appropriate oil until it reaches the proper level. SAE 10W-30 is recommended for general use. Reinstall the dipstick and access panel.
