How to judge a deal
- Price per Wh. Divide the sale price by the rated Wh. It lets you compare a 1,000 Wh and a 2,000 Wh station fairly.
- Battery chemistry. LiFePO4 (LFP) is usually rated for thousands of cycles, older lithium-ion (NMC) for several hundred; each model page shows the maker's figure. For home backup that you keep for years, LFP is worth paying for.
- Peak output. A fridge, sump pump or well pump needs 2–3 times its running watts to start. Check the peak (surge) figure on the model page.
- Bundles. A station with a solar panel is a good deal only if you would buy that panel anyway; compare it with the station alone.
- Expandability. If you may want more capacity later, an expandable model lets you add a battery instead of buying a second station.

How do I know a Black Friday power station deal is real?
Divide the price by the rated watt-hours: that is the price per Wh, the fairest way to compare stations of different sizes. Compare it with the price a few weeks earlier, not with the list price, and check that a bundled solar panel is one you would buy anyway.
What size power station should I buy?
