Connection and wiring
Follow the diagrams in the Pulsar manual. Connecting to a home panel needs a transfer switch or interlock and a licensed electrician.
Error codes and troubleshooting
| Code | Meaning | What to do | Manual page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Engine Overload Indicator Light | The connected devices have exceeded the generator's wattage or amperage capacity, or a power surge occurred. The green AC Pilot light goes off, and power to connected devices stops while the engine keeps running. | Disconnect all electronic devices and stop the engine. Reduce the total connected wattage to within the rated output. Inspect the air inlet and control panel for blockage and clear any found, then restart the engine. | 8 |
| OUTPUT OVERLOAD | The inverter has been overloaded beyond its wattage or amperage capacity, or by a power surge. The green AC pilot light goes off, the engine keeps running, and power to the connected loads stops. The light may flash briefly on starting a load due to surge and is normal. | Reduce the load and press the RESET button. If resetting does not solve the problem, disconnect the load and shut down the engine. Inspect the air inlet and air outlet for blockage and remove any found. | 8 |
| Oil Warning Indicator Light | Oil has fallen below the minimum level. The light comes on and the engine stops automatically. | Add the correct volume of engine oil (SAE 10W-30) to the crankcase. The engine will not start until the correct oil volume is in the crankcase. | 8 |
| DC Circuit Breaker | The DC circuit breaker turns OFF automatically when connected loads exceed the generator's rated output, and the generator stops supplying power. | Reduce the connected loads to within rated DC output, then return the DC Circuit Breaker to the ON position to restore power. If the breaker turns off again, stop using the generator immediately and consult a local, authorized Pulsar dealer. Call service if it persists. | 9 |

FAQ
How long does the Pulsar G2319N run on a tank?
The maker rates it at 4.8 hours at 50 % load (about 900 W) on a 1.2-gal tank. A light load such as a refrigerator and lights runs longer; a full load runs shorter.
Can the Pulsar G2319N start a sump pump or well pump?
Starting surge matters more than running watts: this unit is rated 2300 W peak. That covers a typical 1/2 HP sump pump (about 2150 W to start). Use the calculator with your exact pump.
